Eleven new reference pages are now available in the doBoard Help Center, covering task estimation votes, organization locations, and calendar events.
Each page explains the method’s parameters, request examples, response format, permissions, and error codes. The documentation also describes behavior that integrations need to handle, including withdrawing estimation votes, finalizing estimates, filtering calendar events, and permanently deleting records.
🎯 Estimation API Methods
Three estimation methods are now documented:
- estimation_get — retrieve task estimation votes, including active votes and previous rounds.
- estimation_add — submit, change, or withdraw the current user’s estimation vote.
- estimation_update — finalize an estimation round and apply the maximum submitted estimate to the task.
The reference explains how estimation rounds work, who can finalize them, and how previous votes are retained.
It also covers two important integration details: estimation values are supplied in seconds, and submitting the same active estimate again withdraws that vote. These rules help developers handle user actions and request retries correctly.
📍 Location API Methods
Four new pages cover the organization’s location catalog:
- location_get — retrieve locations.
- location_add — create a location.
- location_update — change a location’s name or codes.
- location_delete — permanently delete a location.
The documentation describes country and location codes, field-length limits, list limits, and permissions for managing locations. It also explains how omitted fields and empty values are handled during updates.
🗓️ Calendar Event API Methods
Documentation is now available for the complete calendar event workflow:
- calendar_events_get — retrieve events with filters and optional related data.
- calendar_events_add — create leave, holidays, days off, or role assignments.
- calendar_events_update — change an existing event.
- calendar_events_delete — permanently delete an event.
These pages explain date ranges, user and role assignments, locations, shift duration, overlap checks, and notification recipients.
The retrieval reference also describes how to include role and location catalogs, time records, and notification statistics in the response. Current limits and update restrictions are documented alongside request examples.
🔜 What’s Next: Labels, Label Groups, and Team Roles
Our next planned documentation update will cover 12 additional API methods:
| Area | Planned methods |
|---|---|
| Labels | label_get, label_add, label_update, label_delete |
| Label groups | label_group_get, label_group_add, label_group_update, label_group_delete |
| Team roles | role_get, role_add, role_update, role_delete |
This update will explain how integrations can manage task classification, organize label groups, and maintain the team roles used in planning and calendar assignments.
As with the newly published pages, the references will include parameters, examples, responses, permissions, and method-specific errors.
