We are excited to announce that the API documentation for the comment_update method is now available in our Help Center.
The comment_update method allows you to update existing task or board comments via API. It includes access checks, comment history, viewer and notification management, editing locks, and realtime updates.
The method supports:
- Editing comment content
- Changing comment status to
ACTIVEorREMOVED - Updating labels and metadata
- Managing viewers via
viewers_ids - Sending personal mentions via
personal_ids - Pinning and unpinning comments
- Locking the first task comment during editing
- Saving previous versions in comment history
- Processing related task links and inline images
- Sending push notifications and publishing realtime updates
This makes comment_update useful for external integrations, automation tools, synchronized comment editors, task management interfaces, and other applications that need to keep doBoard discussions up to date.
