Best Website Feedback Tools in 2026: 10 Visual Feedback Tools Compared

Best website feedback tools in 2026: a laptop with a website, a highlighted heading and a comment popup, icons for comments, screenshots, bugs, tasks, and team, and a person deciding which tool to choose

Updated October 2026. We checked every price and plan on the vendors’ own websites on . Prices change often, so confirm on the vendor’s page before you buy.

Disclosure: Spotfix is made by doBoard, the publisher of this blog, so it comes first. Every section lists the tool’s limits and who should choose it.

A website feedback tool, also called a visual feedback tool, lets clients, teammates, and testers comment right on a live web page. They select the part that needs work, type a comment, and the tool attaches a screenshot and the page address, so nobody has to explain where the problem is.

We compared 10 website feedback tools for agencies, web teams, and freelancers. For each one, you’ll see what a team of 3 or 10 pays, how clients leave feedback, whether comments become tasks, what each report captures, and what users say on G2 and Capterra. Looking for surveys that ask visitors questions instead? Jump to survey tools.

Quick answer: what are the best website feedback tools in 2026?

The best website feedback tools in 2026 are Spotfix, BugHerd, Marker.io, Pastel, and Userback. Spotfix is the simple, affordable pick for client and team reviews before launch and visitor feedback after it: every comment becomes a task, and $5 a month covers unlimited users. How we compared these website feedback tools

  • Prices and plans: each vendor’s pricing page and help center, checked on October 15 and 16, 2026, in US dollars (Usersnap shows euros only).
  • Team costs: the cheapest plan for 3 and for 10 people under each vendor’s seat rules. People who only leave feedback don’t need a paid seat in any of these tools, so we count only your team.
  • How feedback gets in, where it goes, and what reports capture: install options, browser extensions, share links, whether clients need an account, private and public modes, whether comments become tasks, and what comes with each comment, from each tool’s documentation.
  • User reviews: up to 10 G2 and 25 Capterra reviews per tool (newest or most helpful), summarized in our own words. Atarim has no reviews on either site.
  • Our own product: Spotfix is ours, so for it we also share our own team’s results. We did not run paid trials of the other nine tools.

Where a vendor’s own pages disagree with each other, we say so in that tool’s section.

How much do website feedback tools cost for a team of 3 or 10?

A price per seat says little until you apply each tool’s rules: bundles of seats, extra-user fees, and limits on pageviews or reviews. Here is the cheapest plan that fits each team, per month.

What changes the bill

  • Spotfix has one price for any team size: unlimited users, websites, and comments, with every feature and the whole doBoard app included.
  • BugHerd includes 5 members on Standard, 10 on Studio, and 25 on Premium; with monthly billing, each extra member costs $8 a month.
  • Marker.io Starter includes 3 users ($4 for each extra one, billed annually) and 5,000 pageviews a month for the public widget.
  • Pastel Pro covers only 2 users, so a team of 3 moves to Team at $99, plus $24 a month for each user over five.
  • Atarim charges a flat $67 a month for up to 100 seats; annual billing saves 20%.
  • MarkUp.io charges by the number of reviews (MarkUps) a month, not by people: 50 on the $79 plan, then $4 for each extra one.

How do clients leave feedback in each tool?

Clients rarely install anything for a feedback round. What matters is how the tool gets onto the page and what a client has to do before the first comment.

Which tools turn feedback into tasks, and what does each report capture?

Spotfix, BugHerd, and Atarim turn each comment into a task in their own app, and Marker.io and Feedbucket create it in your tracker or project management tool. With Spotfix, your team can also reply to a comment and close it right on the page. The modes column shows who can comment: only people you invite, any visitor, or both. Every tool saves the page address with each comment. Console logs are the error messages a browser records, which help developers find the cause of a bug. Session replay plays back a visitor’s clicks and scrolls like a video.

Team of 10
$5 a month
Free plan
No; 7-day free trial without a credit card
Add it with
One script on any website or the free WordPress plugin, which can show the widget to everyone, logged-in users, or administrators only; setup takes 2–5 minutes
Who can comment
Private mode: only people you invite, such as clients and teammates. Public mode: any visitor, without an account; name and email are optional. You choose the mode for each project
Each report
Page address and a screenshot of the selected area, which the commenter can remove; attached files
Feedback goes to
A doBoard task that your team can handle in the widget on the page or in doBoard; both stay in sync
Also included
doBoard for all your projects: tasks, time tracking, workload planning, and sprints. Use it, or work only in the widget

Spotfix is a simple website feedback widget made by doBoard, a task and project management app. It adds a Review content button to your pages. A client, teammate, or visitor selects text or an image, types a comment in the popup, and sends it. Spotfix attaches the page address and a screenshot of the selected area, and the comment becomes a task automatically.

How Spotfix works

  1. Highlight: select text or an image on a live or staging page and click Review content.
  2. Ask: type a comment in the popup. The page address and a screenshot are attached automatically.
  3. Resolve: the comment is already a task. Reply and close it right in the widget, or work on it in doBoard.
The Spotfix popup on a web page: the heading Users about doBoard is selected and the comment asks to add a Trustpilot widget to this section
Spotfix on a live page: a selected heading and a comment in the popup. The comment becomes a task in doBoard.

Private mode for clients and the team, public mode for visitors

You choose a mode for each project and can switch at any time. In private mode, only people you invite, such as clients, teammates, or beta users, see the widget and leave comments. No one else sees it. This suits client and team reviews before launch, QA on a staging site, and landing page approvals.

In public mode, any visitor to a live site can point out a typo, an outdated fact, or a broken link without signing up. Name and email are optional. Visitors also see open comments in the widget and can follow their progress.

Work on feedback in the widget or in doBoard

Each comment arrives as a task. Your team can reply to it and close it right in the widget on the page, without opening another app. Or open the task in doBoard to assign it and discuss it with the team. Both stay in sync: a reply or a status change in one place shows up in the other.

One simple price: what $5 a month includes

Spotfix has one price for any team size: $5 a month for unlimited users, websites, and comments, with every feature included. There are no seats to count and no feature tiers. For comparison, a team of 10 pays $67 to $79 a month for six of the other nine tools.

The price also covers doBoard, so you can run your other projects there, with tasks and subtasks, time tracking, workload planning, and sprints, at no extra cost. Or use only the widget: you don’t have to move your other projects to doBoard.

Results from our own team

Spotfix is built by the team behind doBoard and CleanTalk, a website security company trusted by more than 1.1 million websites. The CleanTalk team uses Spotfix on its own sites, and after three months it reported 15% faster website building, 21% more efficient bug fixing on live sites, and 30% fewer revision cycles. These are the team’s own figures, not an independent study. The Spotfix plugin has a 5-star rating on WordPress.org.

What we like about Spotfix

  • Simple to use: select text or an image, type a comment, and it becomes a task with the page address and a screenshot attached
  • Simple pricing: one price for the whole team, $5 a month, with unlimited users, websites, and comments
  • Your team handles feedback in the widget on the page or in doBoard; both stay in sync
  • Private mode for client and team reviews, public mode for feedback from any visitor
  • The whole doBoard app comes with the same price: tasks, time tracking, workload planning, and sprints for all your projects. Using it is optional

What to keep in mind about Spotfix

  • No screen recording, console logs, or session replay. If developers need them in every report, compare Marker.io and Userback
  • No Jira integration: feedback stays in the widget and doBoard
  • You need access to the site’s code or WordPress admin to add it

Feedback goes to
BugHerd’s task board; Jira, Asana, Linear, ClickUp, monday.com, and Teamwork on Premium

BugHerd is built for agencies that collect feedback from clients. A client clicks the element that needs a change and leaves a comment. BugHerd saves a screenshot with the browser details, and the comment lands on a Kanban-style task board.

Plans include 5 team members on Standard, 10 on Studio, and 25 on Premium. Guests and projects are unlimited on every plan, so the bill depends only on the size of your own team. Integrations with project tools such as Jira, Asana, and Linear, plus custom branding, start on Premium at $125 a month, billed annually.

What users say on G2 and Capterra

Reviewers on G2 and Capterra say clients can point, click, and comment with no training. They value the automatic screenshots with browser details and the task board. The most common complaints are prices that climb as you add seats, weaker support for phones and iOS, occasional bugs, and trouble selecting the exact element on busy pages.

What we like about BugHerd

  • Unlimited guests and projects on every plan
  • Four ways in: a script, browser extensions, a WordPress plugin, or a share link
  • Short screen recordings with a report
  • 60-day money-back guarantee

What to keep in mind about BugHerd

  • Plans include 5, 10, or 25 members; extras cost $8 a month on monthly billing
  • Jira, Asana, and Linear integrations need Premium at $125 a month
  • No free plan; the trial lasts 7 days
  • Reviewers mention weaker support for phones and iOS

Choose BugHerd if…

  • you collect feedback from many clients who shouldn’t need an account
  • your team fits into 5, 10, or 25 seats
  • you want a task board for feedback inside the same tool

Price
Starter $39 a month billed annually for 3 users, $4 per extra user; Team $149 a month billed annually for 15 users; $59 and $199 billed monthly
Team of 10

Each report
Automatic annotated screenshot with browser and device details; console and network logs and session replay on Team
Feedback goes to
Trello, Asana, ClickUp, GitHub, GitLab, Linear, and other trackers on Starter; Jira and issue status sync on Team

Marker.io is built for teams whose feedback ends up in an issue tracker. Clients and testers report a problem through a widget on the site. Marker.io creates a ticket with an annotated screenshot and technical details, so developers can reproduce the bug without a follow-up call.

Starter costs $39 a month, billed annually, for 3 users, plus $4 for each extra user, and it already connects to Trello, Asana, ClickUp, GitHub, and other trackers. Jira, issue status sync, console and network logs, and session replay come with Team at $149 a month. Starter also caps the public widget at 5,000 pageviews a month.

What users say on G2 and Capterra

On G2 and Capterra, users praise the quick setup, responsive support, and reports that reach Jira, Trello, GitHub, or ClickUp with every technical detail attached. Complaints are few. They mention the price for freelancers and small teams, more options than non-technical clients need, and small gaps such as capturing hover states.

What we like about Marker.io

  • Developer-ready reports with an annotated screenshot and browser details
  • Console logs, network logs, and session replay on Team
  • Reporters are free and don’t need an account

What to keep in mind about Marker.io

  • Jira, logs, and session replay need Team at $149 a month
  • Starter covers 3 users and 5,000 widget pageviews a month
  • No free plan and no built-in screen recording

Choose Marker.io if…

  • your developers fix bugs from tickets in Jira or another tracker
  • you need console logs and session replay with each report

4. Pastel: Best for quick reviews through a share link

Best for
Designers, freelancers, and small agencies that need fast client sign-off
Price
Pro $29 a month billed annually ($35 monthly) for 2 users and 3 canvases; Team $99 ($119 monthly) for 5 users and unlimited canvases, $24 a month per extra user
Team of 10
$219 a month on Team with 5 extra users
Free plan
Yes: 1 user and 1 active canvas, unlimited reviewers; 14-day trial of paid plans
Add it with
A share link that opens your site through Pastel (no code), a Chrome extension, or a bookmarklet
Clients
No account needed to comment
Each report
Automatic screenshot of the spot, browser, and screen size
Feedback goes to
Pastel canvases; Trello, Asana, Jira, ClickUp, monday.com, and Zapier on Team

Pastel turns any web page into a canvas you can share. You paste a URL, send the link, and clients click anywhere on the page to leave a comment, with nothing to install. A canvas is one website or file under review, and plans limit how many canvases can be active at once.

The free plan suits one person: 1 user and one active canvas with unlimited reviewers. Paid plans count users and canvases, so a team of 3 already needs Team at $99 a month. Sites behind a VPN, a firewall, or an IP allowlist need the Chrome extension or an allowlist entry, because the share link loads the page through Pastel.

What users say on G2 and Capterra

Reviewers on G2 and Capterra like that clients open a link and comment on the live site. They also mention the clean interface and screenshots with device details. Complaints include the price for occasional use, few ways to organize many comments, and trouble with some site scripts and password-protected staging sites. Pastel has far fewer reviews than BugHerd or Userback, and many are several years old.

What we like about Pastel

  • Clients comment through a link, with no code on your site
  • Free plan for one person, with unlimited reviewers
  • Unlimited canvases and integrations on Team

What to keep in mind about Pastel

  • Pro covers only 2 users and 3 canvases
  • A team of 10 pays $219 a month
  • No WordPress plugin, screen recording, or console logs

Choose Pastel if…

  • you review designs and content with clients in short rounds
  • you don’t want to add anything to the client’s site
  • one person can work on the free plan

5. Ruttl: Best for live text and style edits on a page

Best for
Web designers and agencies whose clients suggest text and design changes
Price
Pro $18 per user per month (the pricing page shows no separate annual price); Business on request
Team of 10
$180 a month
Free plan
Basic: 1 project, 5 pages, 10 comments, 1 GB of storage, no mobile view; unlimited guest comments
Add it with
A share link that loads your site through Ruttl, a script for web apps, or a Chrome extension
Clients
A testimonial on Ruttl’s site says clients don’t need to log in; one help page asks guests to log in
Each report
For web apps: screenshots you can mark up and uploaded screen recordings; edits to text, fonts, and spacing
Feedback goes to
Ruttl projects; Slack, Trello, Asana, and Jira integrations

Ruttl lets reviewers do more than comment. In edit mode, they can change text, fonts, and spacing on the page to show what they mean. The real site stays the same until your team makes the edit.

Pricing is per user: Pro costs $18 per user per month, so a team of 10 pays $180, more than any tool here except Pastel. The free Basic plan includes 1 project, 5 pages, and 10 comments, with no mobile view. Its plan card says up to 5 users and unlimited guests, while the comparison table on the same page says 1 user and 5 guests.

What users say on G2 and Capterra

On G2 and Capterra, reviewers say Ruttl is easy for non-technical clients and good value. Several switched to it from Pastel, Marker.io, or MarkUp.io because of price. Opinions are split, though. A group of 2024–2025 reviews reports bugs, slow support, and billing problems, and one reviewer noted that the free plan was cut to desktop only and 10 comments.

What we like about Ruttl

  • Clients can edit text, fonts, and spacing right on the page
  • Share links work without code on your site
  • Unlimited guests and projects on Pro

What to keep in mind about Ruttl

  • $18 per user adds up: $180 a month for 10 people
  • Small free plan: 1 project, 5 pages, 10 comments
  • Reviewers report billing and support problems in 2024–2025

Choose Ruttl if…

  • your clients mostly ask for text and design changes
  • you want reviewers to try a change before your team makes it
  • your team is small, so per-user pricing stays low

Best for
SaaS and product teams that collect feedback from users of a live product
Price

Team of 10
$79 a month on Business

Clients
No seat needed to send feedback
Each report
Screenshot, video with voice on every plan, browser details; session replay and console and network logs on Business
Feedback goes to
Userback’s feedback inbox and integrations; API and webhooks on Business Plus

Userback is built for feedback from the people who use your product. They report a problem with a screenshot or a video with voice. On Business, you also get session replay, console and network logs, and in-app surveys, so a product team can see what happened and ask follow-up questions in the same tool.

Team costs $29 a month, billed annually, for 5 seats. Larger teams move to Business at $79 a month with unlimited seats, which is also where the developer features are. The free plan has 2 seats and 2 projects, but it shows feedback for only 7 days.

What users say on G2 and Capterra

Reviewers on G2 most often praise how easy Userback is for clients and end users. They like that teams can collect, sort, and act on feedback in one place, with screenshots, videos, and recordings. Common complaints on G2 and Capterra include few options to rebrand the widget, integrations that sync only one way or need Zapier, and useful features only on higher plans.

What we like about Userback

  • Video with voice on every plan
  • Session replay, console logs, and surveys on Business
  • Unlimited seats from $79 a month

What to keep in mind about Userback

  • Developer features start on Business
  • The free plan shows feedback for only 7 days
  • Few options to rebrand the widget, according to reviewers

Choose Userback if…

  • you collect feedback from users of a live product, not only from clients
  • you want video, session replay, and surveys in one tool
  • your team will soon grow past 5 seats

7. Usersnap: Best for larger product and support teams

Best for
Product and support teams that collect feedback and bug reports at scale
Price

Team of 10
€129 a month on Growth

Clients

Each report
Screenshot taken by the user, screen recording up to 3 minutes, console logs
Feedback goes to
Usersnap’s dashboard and integrations such as Jira, Zendesk, Slack, and Trello

Usersnap is built for product and support teams at larger companies. Widgets, feedback forms, and surveys collect input from users, and each bug report can include a screenshot, a screen recording of up to 3 minutes, and console logs.

It is priced for bigger teams. Starter costs €49 a month for 2 seats, so a team of 3 or 10 needs Growth at €129 a month. Growth also raises the pageview limit from 100,000 to 500,000. There is no free plan: the trial lasts until you collect 20 feedback items.

What users say on G2 and Capterra

Reviewers on G2 and Capterra value the detailed context in reports, the integrations with Jira, Zendesk, Slack, and Trello, and responsive support. They mention the price for small companies, branding removal and the API only on higher plans, a cluttered admin dashboard, and setups that need a developer. Most of them use Usersnap inside their own product or support process, and few use it for agency client reviews.

What we like about Usersnap

  • Screen recordings up to 3 minutes and console logs
  • Widgets, feedback forms, and surveys in one tool
  • Unlimited seats from Growth

What to keep in mind about Usersnap

  • Prices only in euros; €129 a month for a team of 3
  • No free plan; the trial ends after 20 feedback items
  • Branding removal and the API need higher plans, according to reviewers

Choose Usersnap if…

  • you run feedback for a product with many users
  • you need recordings and console logs with bug reports
  • you want surveys and feedback widgets in the same tool

Each report
Automatic screenshot of the visible screen, page address, browser, and screen size
Feedback goes to
Atarim’s own dashboard

Atarim started as a WordPress feedback plugin and still fits WordPress best: the plugin adds commenting to your site, and clients leave feedback on the live page. In 2026, Atarim repositioned itself as an AI web agency service, and its plans now include AI credits.

Pro costs $67 a month, billed monthly, for up to 100 seats, which makes it a flat price for most agencies; annual billing saves 20%. The free plan covers one website. The share link works only on public pages, so staging sites need the plugin or the script.

What users say on G2 and Capterra

Atarim has no reviews on G2 or Capterra yet, so we can’t summarize user opinions. Its G2 listing still uses the old name, WP FeedBack.

What we like about Atarim

  • Flat price: $67 a month for up to 100 seats
  • Deep WordPress support through its plugin
  • Free plan for one website

What to keep in mind about Atarim

  • No reviews of its own on G2 or Capterra yet
  • The product is moving toward AI agency services
  • No screen recording; share links only for public pages

Choose Atarim if…

9. Feedbucket: Best for agencies that work in Asana, ClickUp, or Jira

Best for
Agencies and web teams that send client feedback to their project management tool
Price
Pro $39 a month billed annually ($49 monthly) for 2 team members; Business $72 ($89) for 25 members, with white label
Team of 10
$72 a month on Business
Free plan
No; 14-day trial without a credit card

Clients
No account needed; reporters and projects are unlimited
Each report
Automatic screenshot, video (not on phones), annotations, browser details, and console logs
Feedback goes to
16 integrations on every plan, such as Asana, ClickUp, Jira, and Notion

Feedbucket focuses on getting client feedback into the tool your team already uses. Clients leave feedback through a widget on the site, with nothing to install and no login, and each report arrives with a screenshot, browser details, and console logs.

All 16 integrations come with every plan, and reporters and projects are unlimited. Pro covers 2 team members for $39 a month, billed annually, so a team of 3 or more needs Business. It costs $72 a month for 25 members and adds white label (your branding instead of Feedbucket’s) and exports.

What users say on G2 and Capterra

On Capterra, Feedbucket’s reviews are almost all positive and recent (2023–2026). Users like that clients install nothing, the two-way sync with Asana, ClickUp, Jira, and Notion, and fast, hands-on support; several came from Marker.io, MarkUp.io, Userback, or BugHerd. The few complaints mention the price for very small teams and limited options to customize the widget. G2 lists only three reviews.

What we like about Feedbucket

  • All 16 integrations on every plan
  • Console logs and video with each report
  • Unlimited reporters and projects

What to keep in mind about Feedbucket

  • Pro includes only 2 team members
  • No free plan and no browser extension
  • Few options to customize the widget, according to reviewers

Choose Feedbucket if…

  • your team works in Asana, ClickUp, Jira, or Notion
  • clients should send feedback without logging in
  • you want console logs at an agency price

10. MarkUp.io: Best for reviewing web pages along with images, PDFs, and videos

Best for
Marketing and creative teams that review web pages along with other files
Price
Pro $79 a month for 50 MarkUps a month with unlimited users ($99 for 75, $129 for 100); extra MarkUps $4 each; Business $499–$799
Team of 10
$79 a month
Free plan
No; 14-day trial, credit card required
Add it with
A share link, a Chrome extension, uploads of more than 30 file types, or an SDK
Clients
No account needed; guests enter a name and email
Each report
Screenshot with the Chrome extension; video through Loom; no console logs
Feedback goes to
Your MarkUp.io workspace (one on Pro)

MarkUp.io, now part of Ceros, puts websites, images, PDFs, and videos into one review workflow. You share a link, and guests comment after entering a name and email. It is built for creative and marketing review, so it does not capture console logs for QA.

Pro costs $79 a month for 50 MarkUps, with unlimited users. A MarkUp is one website, image, PDF, or video you share for feedback, and each extra one costs $4. The free plan is gone, and the 14-day trial asks for a credit card.

What users say on G2 and Capterra

MarkUp.io has few reviews. On Capterra, users like that clients comment through a link with nothing to learn and that it handles many file types. Most complaints are about pricing changes: the free plan was cut back in 2023, and a 2025 reviewer reported a large price increase and the removal of cheaper plans. Several users who moved to Feedbucket or Ruttl mention cost.

What we like about MarkUp.io

  • Websites, images, PDFs, and videos in one place
  • Unlimited users on every plan
  • You pay for reviews, not seats

What to keep in mind about MarkUp.io

  • No free plan; the trial needs a credit card
  • 50 MarkUps a month on the $79 plan
  • Reviewers complain about price changes

Choose MarkUp.io if…

  • you review web pages along with images, PDFs, and videos
  • your volume fits 50 reviews a month
  • you don’t need technical bug reports

Website feedback tools vs. visitor survey tools: which do you need?

Visual feedback tools collect comments on specific parts of a page, usually from your team, clients, or testers. Survey tools ask your visitors questions, such as why they are leaving a page or how easy checkout was. If that is what you need, look at these instead:

Survey tools for website visitors
ToolFree planPaid plans from
Contentsquare (Hotjar)Basic surveys, 200,000 sessions a month$39 a month (Growth)
Survicate25 responses a month, 3 teammates$56 a month (Growth, billed annually) or $89 (Starter, monthly)
Qualaroo50 responses$49.99 a month for website surveys (Business, billed annually)

Hotjar is now part of Contentsquare and no longer takes new sign-ups; its features, including surveys, are in Contentsquare’s plans. Userback and Usersnap also include surveys. Checked .

How to choose a website feedback tool

Start with two questions: who leaves the feedback, and where does it need to end up?

If you need…

  • client and team reviews before launch and visitor feedback after it: Spotfix: a private mode for the clients and teammates you invite and a public mode for any visitor, chosen for each project. Every comment becomes a task your team can close on the page or in doBoard.
  • a simple tool with one low, flat price: Spotfix: $5 a month for the whole team, with every feature included, and setup takes 2–5 minutes. Other tools with a flat price for many seats cost $67 to $79 a month (Atarim, Userback Business, MarkUp.io) or €129 (Usersnap Growth).
  • feedback and your project tasks in one tool: Spotfix: each comment becomes a doBoard task, and the same $5 plan covers doBoard for your other projects, with time tracking, workload planning, and sprints. BugHerd has a task board too, but it is built for website feedback.
  • bug reports developers can act on: Feedbucket (console logs from $39 a month), Marker.io (console logs and session replay on Team), Userback (on Business), or Usersnap.
  • feedback that lands in Jira, Asana, or ClickUp: Feedbucket on every plan, Marker.io, or BugHerd Premium.
  • reviews of images, PDFs, and videos as well as websites: MarkUp.io or Pastel.
  • text and style changes made right on the page: Ruttl.
  • feedback from site visitors plus surveys: Userback or Usersnap.

Before you pick

  1. Decide who should comment: only people you invite, such as clients and teammates, or any visitor to a live site. Some tools, including Spotfix, let you switch between the two.
  2. Count who needs a paid seat. In every tool here, only your team pays; clients and reporters are free.
  3. Check how the tool gets onto the page: a script, a plugin, a browser extension, or a share link. Share links load your site through the vendor’s servers and may not reach a staging site behind a password or firewall.
  4. Decide where feedback should go: the tool’s own board, doBoard, Jira, or another tracker.
  5. List what developers need in each report: a screenshot, a recording, console logs, or browser details.
  6. Run one real feedback round with a client during the trial before you move every project.

Our recommendation

For simple, affordable website reviews, Spotfix is our pick: clients and teammates comment before launch, visitors after it, and every comment becomes a task you can close in the widget or in doBoard. The whole team pays $5 a month, and doBoard comes with it for your other projects. Choose BugHerd for client feedback with short screen recordings, Marker.io if developers need console logs and Jira (Team plan), Pastel for quick reviews on a free plan, and Userback for feedback from a product’s users.

Simple website reviews for the whole team

Clients, teammates, and visitors comment right on the page, and every comment becomes a task. One price: $5 a month for unlimited users.

FAQ

What are the best website feedback tools?

The best website feedback tools in 2026 are Spotfix, BugHerd, Marker.io, Pastel, and Userback. Spotfix is the simple, affordable pick for client and team reviews before launch and visitor feedback after it: every comment becomes a task, and $5 a month covers unlimited users. BugHerd suits agencies collecting client feedback, and Marker.io sends bug reports to Jira on its $149 Team plan. Pastel handles quick reviews through a share link, and Userback adds video feedback and surveys for product teams.

What is a website feedback tool?

A website feedback tool, also called a visual feedback tool, lets people comment on a live web page instead of describing problems in email. They select or click the spot, type a comment, and the tool saves it with a screenshot and the page address. Visual feedback tools such as Spotfix, BugHerd, and Marker.io are for teams, clients, and testers; survey tools such as Survicate and Qualaroo ask visitors questions.

Are there free website feedback tools?

Yes, but free plans are small: Pastel Free covers 1 user and 1 active canvas, Userback Free shows feedback for only 7 days, Ruttl Basic covers 5 pages and 10 comments, and Atarim Free covers 1 website. For a whole team, Spotfix has a 7-day free trial with no credit card. After that, it costs $5 a month for unlimited users, and every comment becomes a task your team can close right on the page.

What is the cheapest website feedback tool for a team?

Spotfix is the cheapest for a team, with one simple price: $5 a month for unlimited users, with every feature and the doBoard task manager included. Among the others, a team of 3 pays $29 a month for Userback Team, $39 for Marker.io Starter, or $42 for BugHerd Standard, billed annually. For 10 people, BugHerd, Marker.io, and Atarim cost $67 a month.

What are the best tools for client website feedback?

For agencies, we recommend Spotfix, BugHerd, and Feedbucket. Spotfix is the simple, affordable option. It has a private mode for the clients and teammates you invite and a public mode for any visitor. Every comment becomes a task your team can handle in the widget or in doBoard, and $5 a month covers unlimited users. BugHerd adds a task board and short screen recordings. Feedbucket sends feedback to Asana, ClickUp, Jira, or Notion on every plan. Pastel works well for quick design sign-offs.

What is the best website feedback tool for WordPress?

Spotfix has a free WordPress plugin that adds the widget without code and lets you show it to every visitor, logged-in users, or administrators only. BugHerd, Marker.io, Userback, Usersnap, Atarim, and Feedbucket also have WordPress plugins, and Atarim started as a WordPress-only tool. Pastel, Ruttl, and MarkUp.io work through share links instead.

Do clients need an account to leave website feedback?

Not in most tools. In Spotfix’s public mode, anyone can comment without signing up, and name and email are optional; private mode limits comments to people you invite. BugHerd, Marker.io, Pastel, Userback, Usersnap, Feedbucket, and MarkUp.io also let clients comment without an account, and some ask for a name and email. Atarim asks for an email address. In Ruttl, guests usually comment without an account, but one of its help pages asks them to log in.

What are the best website feedback and bug reporting tools?

Marker.io (on Team), Userback (on Business), Usersnap, and Feedbucket are the best picks for bug reports, because they add console logs, the error messages a browser records, to each report. Marker.io and Userback also offer session replay. BugHerd records browser details and short videos and connects to FullStory or LogRocket for session replay. Spotfix, Pastel, Atarim, and MarkUp.io focus on comments and screenshots rather than console logs.

What are the best tools for website feedback management?

The best tools turn each comment into a task you can assign and close. Spotfix turns every comment into a task that your team can handle in the widget on the page or in doBoard, and the $5 plan includes doBoard for all your projects. BugHerd has its own task board. Feedbucket sends feedback to Asana, ClickUp, Jira, or Notion on every plan, and Marker.io connects to Trello, Asana, or GitHub on Starter and to Jira on Team.

Which website feedback tool includes project management?

Spotfix comes with doBoard, a task and project management app, at no extra cost: $5 a month covers both, for unlimited users. Every comment becomes a doBoard task, and you can run your other projects there too, with time tracking, workload planning, and sprints. BugHerd and Atarim manage feedback as tasks in their own dashboards. Marker.io, Feedbucket, Pastel, and Ruttl send feedback to tools such as Jira, Asana, or Trello.

Can clients leave feedback on a staging site?

Yes, with most tools. Script and plugin tools such as Spotfix, BugHerd, Marker.io, and Feedbucket work on a staging site the same way as on a live one, and Spotfix’s private mode shows the widget only to people you invite. Tools that open your site through a share link need the page to be reachable. Pastel suggests its Chrome extension or an allowlist for sites behind a firewall, and Atarim’s share link works only on public pages.

What is the difference between website feedback tools and survey tools?

Website feedback tools collect comments on specific parts of a page, with a screenshot and the page address, usually from your team, clients, or testers. Survey tools ask visitors questions, such as why they are leaving or how easy checkout was. Contentsquare (which now includes Hotjar), Survicate, and Qualaroo are survey tools; Userback and Usersnap do both.
